I'm going to have to get more rechargeables, or hunt down every battery operated toy until I find them.
My last set died as I tried to get a picture of the skunk.
This just may have been predestined.
Anyway..,
This picture is from a year ago. Daughter's grapes did not produce as well this year.
But, I DID have to tell you about my great find, and patience paying off, and all that.
Over the weekend THGGM and I went to a giant outdoor flea market (it's indoor also, but we did not go in).
We went with the primary purpose of walking around outside in the beautiful fall air. Which is exactly what we did. No looking at every single thing at each booth, the two of us meandered like a lazy river through whatever spaces pulled us in. THGGM found some furniture he would put in his East Grand Rapids mansion if he had one. I found NOTHING that wowed me although I did forage through mounds of vintage linens, towers of dishes, and a whole lot of heaps of 'what-not'. Of course, it helped that our 'we have no money' life preservers were tightly fastened about us. Seriously helpful.
Then, IT happened. On the ground as we made our last turn back to our car, there, prostrate as if shot dead on the spot lay an old wooden screen door. It was marked with an inch or two of masking tape - ONE DOLLAR.
What was even more shocking was the fact that most of the things we had seen previously were marked at antique store prices. I know this, because I saw some of the very same things I had actually visited the day before in an antique store.
Just so you know, we DID cough up a dollar, and while THGGM figured out a way to get a screen door into a Malibu I searched the ground around the car for walnuts. Those were free.

Have I missed what your plans for the screen door are?
I miss going to those flea markets.
Always kept my eye out for a royal ruby red epergne if there is such a thing.
Found all the dishes. :0)
What a high I got as I found each piece.
A good day to be sure. I love those days when your not really focused on a certain item, but enjoying where you are even more.
I'll bet you were at Allegan on Sunday. We were too. Spent a grand total of $4.00, but enjoyed walking around and looking. I somehow knew you would be there.
Yeah for you. Sounds like a lovely day.
