Switching Things Around

It was time for a change.
For well over three years now these frames held old hymns. Later I added a black letter to each one to spell out "JOY". I really liked how it looked, but it was time. And, I had made hymn pictures for my parents one Christmas, and I now have those also.
THGGM found the frames at a thrift store. There were four of them and they were a hideous gold color. Since this was during his 'spray paint everything white' phase, he was planning to do that. But white would not have worked with the antiqued look of the hymns, so he opted for black. Then, Michael's Craft Store had an after Christmas sale of mats. Being either extremely tight, kinda poor, or just plain old Dutch, I waited until the mats were 90 % off.
Today THGGM suggested that I find three pictures of the grand kids and enlarge them so they could fit in these frames. So, being either an extremely submissive wife, not feeling in the mood to drag anything to the basement, or crazy about my grand children, I ordered three 8 x 10 pictures.
While we watched Curb Appeal the Block tonight we popped the new pictures into the frames.
They now hang in the hallway, which is narrow and hard to get a good picture of anything. But I like them, I REALLY like them!
Actually, I like the 'idea' of them. I see everything that is wrong with the pictures, which are just snapshots cropped and adjusted to within an inch of their lives. But THGGM adores them and sees none of the flaws that I do.
We are a good team that way.
So they'll stay in the hallway. Until I change them as the kids grow up.

I did some changing around, too, of some house plants I have that have grown into small trees, ha! A few photos. A little wooden chest. Amazing how just a few moves and the house feels 'new' again, isn't it?

I'm glad that he loves them.
