We'll Follow the Old Man Wherever He Wants to Go!

Today is Oldest Son's 30th birthday! Thirty. Wow. That is a milestone. When I turned thirty, he was eight.

We went to see him in "White Christmas" at his alma mater. He was General Waverly.
That's his great grandfather's WWI medal pinned to his uniform.

Driving to the play was a nightmare. We nearly slid off the road twice.
Others weren't so fortunate. We passed nine cars in ditches just on our way. Apparently, that was the worst of it. All the predicted snow didn't show up - at least not here.
The ride home wasn't nearly as scary.
Hmm. No pictures of Famke? She took the cute pictures of the boys. She's quite handy with the camera. I thought I took more pictures of the birthday boy, but it appears that I did not.

I'd rather have snow than black ice or ice.
We had that kind of a morning yesterday too.
I was home. :0)

Famke is quite the photographer. How fun for you to see your son in White Christmas! Being one of your favorite shows and all:)

I bet the children in the family loved to see you son on stage! If I lived closer, I'd come too!

It looks like it was a wonderful family event dispite the nightmare getting there!

After seeing your comment on my post this morning, I came over to visit. (Not sure I've been here before!) Already I see we have some things in common (collecting white pitchers, for example).

Thankful you made it safely to your son's production. You must be very proud of him.

That was the day I drove to the other side of the city during our record snowstorm to take photos at a wedding - there and back again safe.

Love the photo with the fun theater make-up.
