What was I thinking when I said I would wait until the sun shone again to take another picture of what Jonge made for me?
It IS January and it IS Michigan, so I thought I'd just better go ahead and post the picture anyway.
I know the sun will shine again, but who knows when?
Jonge quickly set to work to make me something.
He even found a hook already in the wall for me to hang it on. Up high. Like where the stars go.
Jonge told me he made a star because there are stars up in Heaven - where Pa with a cane and Grandma in a wheel chair live now.
I think it looks absolutely lovely there. Today he made me another one for the other side. But since there didn't seem to be a hook on the other side, he told me that the second one could be a 'leaning star'.
Our morning today was so nice. They klomped around in wooden shoes for awhile. That's a fun sound. Jonge and Famke wanted their picture taken wearing the wooden shoes. I didn't notice until I was downloading today's pictures that they are holding hands. How sweet are they?
The afternoon was not so great. I was tired. Jonge was tired. Kado was tired. Famke was NOT tired. Not at all. Not a smitch of tiredness in that one.
Today I got to prove the old saying - You can put a child in bed but you can't make her sleep!

Your Tinker Toy Star is lovely and so is Jonge's message of why that star was made. :0)
Oh my goodness...wooden shoes.
How cute is that picture!!!!!!!
Wishing you lots more treasured moments.
It's shining here today, which means that it's cold. Brrr.
I remember trying to get non sleepy children down for a nap! Lots of jumping on the bed!
