I did a wee bit of antique shopping today.
Just a touch.
And I squealed with delight when I found another copy of "The Bird's Christmas Carol"!
This one is a loooovely shade of green.
It shall be noted that I could have gone crazy buying deeply discounted vintage Christmas treasures. But I did not.
This Christmas I even let a lot of my vintage Christmas stuff remain in boxes in my basement.
The nice thing about vintage stuff is that it just grows more vintage-y each year.
Like me.

Was tickled with your expression of growing more vintage-y with each year.
I'm aiming for that over a hundred.....ANTIQUE-Y. ;0)
A comparative newcomer to your blog, your language here leads me to believe you have at least one OTHER copy of "The Birds'..." I assume it is a story?
Like you, I too have many vintage ornaments that I didn't bring down from the attic this year. But I also resisted buying any. Truth be told, I have no IDEA how many I actually have because for a few years I'd been buying them, using what I bought and not bringing out those already stored.....
Two pats on the back for practicing self control while shopping. Not an easy thing to do unless one is totally broke.
Enjoy your new find and I too am growing more vintag-y, in fact I'm just about into the antique classification!
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who will buy multiple copies of old books that I love. I convince myself that I'm "rescuing" them.
And with each passing year, I have greater appreciation for vintage!
