One Thing Leads to Another

THGGM and I had a great time on his vacation. We were busy. Jonge and Famke had fun 'working' with Pake. Of course, we also found time to thrift/antique shop. See those ladies above? They were something Avon sold in 1983. I remember these as my mom sold Avon. She did not, however, have these. I found them in a thrift store in a plastic bag for next to nothing. THGGM rolled his eyes, I am sure. Especially when I tried to convince him that they would make great finger puppets. He did not, I repeat, DID NOT enjoy the show.

Then, over the weekend I found this pretty glass votive for fifty cents. There were two.

I held them in my hands, and THIS came to me! Would my ladies fit over them? Once home I quickly tried it out. Yes! They fit.

Then I remembered my stash of vintage hankies I still haven't found where I put them, but there were a few stragglers in my dresser.
I even found four other votive that I had recently replaced.
Now whether or not I actually display these somewhere remains to be seen. But I had a great amount of fun putting them together!
Seriously. I cannot be left alone.
So, what's new with you? Please tell me.

Oh wow! You have the best ideas! Those are gorgeous.

How did you like Julie and Julia? I loved it and even thinking about it all these months later it still inspires me to cook! (And needing all the inspiration I can get in that area, that's a great thing.) Blessings, Debra

just adorable! And just what I could have used when looking to prop up Snowwhite for my granddaughter's birthday party. I actually think I have one of those in a drawer! I ended up using a short canning jar. Definitely display them!
