Randomly She Rolls Along

Five, three, and 18 months seem to be a good age for these three.
They even enjoy a few of the same things.
Eating Clementines, reading Snuggle Puppy, and watching Caillou on PBS. Caillou is what they are so intently watching in this picture.
Caillou and his friend Sara are cutting out snowflakes. Jonge and Famke long for the day when they can use scissors again without getting 'the lecture'.
Today while I held a hot and teething Kado on my lap, I was gently pulling up locks of his hair to see just how long it has gotten. Jonge looked at me and eagerly offered to get me the scissors so I could cut Kado's hair off. Hmm. I see 'hair-stylist' as a job possibility for him.
It's been a wooonderful week. There is something so nice about things getting 'back to normal' (whatever that is) after the holidays. As much as I loooove Christmas, I am just plain crazy about hibernating in my little den with a quilt, a dog, and a good book.
Last night I started reading "The Help". I'm always hesitant to read an author's first book. But, this one pulled me in quickly. In fact, I'm off to bed to read it now. That is one of my New Year's resolutions. Early to bed. Early to rise. It would appear that the healthy and wealthy boats have sailed, but perhaps I can get a ticket on the wise boat yet. One CAN always dream, can't one?
Tonight THGGM and I watched half of "Julie Julia". I'm liking it. We shall finish it tomorrow night. We had to stop because it was time for THGGM pre-bedtime nap.
I'm rather excited to get back down into my messy studio and bring it back to order. Well, MY idea of order anyway. There is just something about having two good sized tables that just seem to call for me to stack things up onto them. But, now that everything has a place to be put, clearing off those tables is almost a joy. Sort of like a GIANT match game, and when the table is empty I am the winner!
I'm not sure if other people do this but I find that it works well for me. As you can imagine, I take a lot of pictures through out the day. Mostly just because I have my camera close at hand. But, on a day like today, when one of Kado's cute little monkey socks - that he adores - can't be found all I have to do is go back and look through the days pictures. And, SURPRISE! I can at least narrow it down to having been lost sometime shortly after the above picture was taken. Because, for a few minutes after he climbed off the couch, he stood in front of the TV watching Calliou while he held one monkey sock on his head. The other one remained on his foot. Seriously. This helps me know where to look.
I haven't left the house since breakfast Saturday morning. It's looking like breakfast Saturday morning might just be the next time I leave the house again.
This is my life.

I love "pre-bedtime nap." I mean I love the phrase. Wish I could just plain bedtime nap a little earlier than I do.

Even before I read your post I know I am going to feel the warmth and love in your heart.
You never disappoint me even though I know from experience that all is not "peaches and cream" with three little ones in your home. ;0)
Have a great day m/f.
