When Jonge was a little boy he LOVED watching "Signing Time" on PBS. So, for Valentine's Day long ago I traced his little hand to make a pattern. I found some white cotton at a thrift store, cut his hand pattern out, stitched it, stuffed it, made it sign "I love you" and placed it in a shadow box for his mommy. But I wanted one. So, I did the same with my hand. That was years ago. Yesterday I got the idea to update mine by using a mason jar and the sleeve of an old cashmere sweater. For mine I had to use some floral wire to get it to stand. That slipped nicely into the mason jar.
It's uncanny how much it looks just like my hand. I added the red heart ornament just because it was there. Anyway, it makes a nice 3D Valentine for THGGM.
If you are looking for a cute idea for a Valentine gift, this one is really simple! It would probably work just as well with a glove too.

You are so clever, I love this idea.
Bogged down by all the neglected and outstanding projects I have to do, I will probably end cutting out heart shapes from old wallpaper sample books and stick a lollipop through them to send to our 10 grandchildren.
Hopefully NEXT year I'll feel more creative :) Meanwhile, I'll just admire YOURS. VeRY COoL!
It's creepy
I remember you doing that one. :)
I like the idea!
