Happy Birthday Mom. You Are VERY Missed.

Today would have been my mom's 84th birthday.
I like to think that she is celebrating with my dad and her parents.

I dream of her more now than I ever used to. In the last dream I had of her we had sprung her from the nursing home for a family party - something that in reality we were never able to do. She was PERFECTLY normal in my dream, not battling Alzheimer's, so we decided not to take her back.

Even though it's just a dream, it is SO NICE to be able to talk to her without the dreadful cloud of dementia coloring everything with its sadness.

I have had dreams of my step dad before his dementia too. He had a spring in his step and a smile on his face. Not that far away look and the smile that is empty of feeling. I miss him. But like you said he is enjoying his mother and father and many sisters and brothers gone on before him. In a dream after he died I saw him walking along a creek. He stopped and gave me a sideways wave. Then walked on along the creek with a quick step and it was obvious he was headed home and there was no stopping him. (home being heaven)

I welcome those kind of dreams too. :0)
Many more to you and Happy Birthday to your mom.

Just lost my mom too within the last few months. She too would of been 84. I think I'll miss her forever. I'm glad your dream was comforting to you. Peace.

My mother is still living but is YOUR mother's age (84) and in the beginning stage of dementia. I read this with sadness for your loss and thankfulness for my mother's presence and lucid moments that are fewer and fewer....

What a beautiful woman your mother is. I hope your dreams continue to be beautiful, too.

Awww... that totally sounds like a God-given dream so show you that she's fine now! How wonderful. And that photo of your mom is so sweet and lovely.
