If I had any energy at all I would go to bed. It won't take much, as I am still in my pajamas. Winter storms will do that to me. Presently I can hear the current precipitation hitting the windows.
THGGM was occupied most of the afternoon with reading "The Help" and snow blowing. I watched a movie and played numerous games of Scramble, a game at which I am not any good but for some reason feel compelled to play repeatedly. In the evening I listened on-line to a Fresian language station. What got me started was looking for a 'blog name' for this next grandson. I'm sort of liking moai boai. Or maybe minske. Moai boai means handsome boy, and minske just means human being. Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up with the ability to think cleverly, but tonight I can come up with nothing.
Yesterday I did manage to go out. Early. My job, whether I chose to accept it or not, was to de-poop the backyard. Really, it was not THAT bad. And after doing that, everything else I did was a pleasure.
We've no expendable cash, but I did go to my favorite thrift store with two dollars I found in my coat pocket. You know you can reasonably consider yourself to be poor when you get an adrenalin rush upon finding two dollars. I was able to find three things and left with change. I came away with an anthology of children's stories. Last week I had found volume two, so this week I was happy to find the first one. Also, a Sing Along with Mitch song book for only a quarter. So, if you'd like to sing parts on "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" or have always wanted to belt out "Volare", you could come to my house. It didn't come with the bouncing ball though, which was a disappointment to me. I also found a small glass dome. My chalkware bride and groom are now happily standing under it. At least I think they are happy. It's hard to tell.
Over the weekend I also watched two movies. This is a RARE event for me. I don't really like movies. I know there are people who will find this shocking, but I've never seen Star Wars. ONCE when we had a mid-size black and white TV I tried to watch it. It just was not my thing. So I went back to watching a PBS documentary on Watergate. That works in black and white. Recently I found a few movies that had seemed interesting at the time they came out, so I watched those. About A Boy - I liked that one. And Did You Hear About the Morgans which seemed like it should have been good, but was incredibly not. It wasn't time totally wasted though, as I had a warm quilt, a furry dog, and coffee.
There was a moment today when I thought I might be having a brilliant thought. But I was wrong.

Find more "I like Judy" coming your way- i don't really like movies either, they feel like a huge, manipulative waste of time. But sometimes there are good ones.
Shopping with two dollars is one of my favourite activites too, but lately it seems like it always costs me $8-
another grandson you say?!
wow.
Judy,
This could be a Life magazine photo. Really great picture.
It will be interesting to hear what you come up with for your new grandbaby's screen name.
I also enjoy the 'hunt' with a couple of dollars in my pocket.
Priorities are everything. Once saw a little sign at Hallmark that said,"No coffee, no workee". Yup. That's it in the nutshell.

The photo is brilliant - really you are getting so good with getting fabulous shots of those munchkins of yours.
