Sooo Fun!

The tutorial for making heart chains came from Betz White's blog. She also made them out of felt - but I thought I'd start with the paper kind first.

I had picked up a few pieces of scrapbook paper for making Valentine's cards with Jonge and Famke. Sooo many ideas for what else I could make these for.

Oh! I also made this bookmark. I purchased one of those daily calenders when they were deeply discounted in January.

I bought the one with birds, thinking that the grand kids and I could learn something about birds every day they are here.

So, with the torn off pages, I just punched out the February calender with a circle punch. From there the ideas just kept rolling in.

Jonge and Famke seem slightly amused to learn about the birds. Although I'm rather sure that the only ones they remember are the Red-Footed Booby and the Blue-Footed Booby.

They are kids.

Oh wow. Love the heart chain--so simple! Why didn't I think of that idea, like, thirty years ago? Thanks for sharing...Debra

Hi Judy...the heart chain is so lovely! I can't wait to make my own. Not just for Valetine's Day, I think they'd be nice for other occasions, too! Thank you for sharing...Mari
