Famke is not a fan of pony tails nor barrettes. This means that she has hair in her face A LOT.
But when she saw Kado getting his hair cut, that looked like a good idea for her.
But Pake easily talked her into a French Braid instead. He used to French Braid her mommy's hair when she was a little girl. I'm not one to bother much about hair. Famke's looks change dramatically when her hair is pulled back. She has the most beautiful brown eyes. And she even seemed rather pleased with the results!

Looks so pretty! I can relate to not wanting ponytails or barrettes. My granddaughter is the same way. Oh, how I would love to fix her hair so many ways but she will not have it. She may get a little of that from me, I don't like anyone messing with my hair either. Famke and Kado look adorable.
I love the expressions on her face.
They speak volumes without a word being said.
I think I see "pleased" with her new look in the next to last picture.
Reminds me that I sat to have finger curls made many a time {0( and only the FINISHED look made me happy. :0)
Sitting still ....NOT so much. :0(
Sweet! Brings back memories. I used to French braid our daughters' hair before school. I even did neighbor girls', too! I also learned the reverse of French braid (but can't remember the name right now....)
They looks so cute!
Lisa :O)
She does look different with her hair pulled back.
BTW I am seriously impressed that he french braids hair!!
Pake did a very nice job and she just looks adorable. I remember when my girls would want me to french braid their hair. I worked so hard and one would take it out because it just bugged her and the other would take it out if it wasn't perfect. I usually had to do two braids which was twice the headache and heartache.
Aw, I love it! She's a natural for having a braid--a very classic face for a classic hairstyle. (That makes sense in my crazy head,anyway...heh.) Great job. As always, it looks like Grandma's house is the place to be for fun! :)
