Vintage Baby

While cleaning up the guest room yesterday I found this vintage IRMI mobile I had purchased quite awhile ago. The edges of the Pack-n-Play were too thick for me to use it there for the grandkids.

So I stored it away in the closet. But it isn't something that should stay in a box, so I decided to try it out on the sweet little white bed.
Oh, and how I DO love it there!
I did get all excited and brought THGGM into the room to admire it with me (he played along very nicely, i might add).
He was rather quick to point out that if we were expecting a baby in the 40's or 50's we'd have everything we'd need.

So, while I'm getting myself all excited about finally being able to USE the mobile and snapping pictures of it like crazy, I got the idea to set my camera on the Big Doll's face.
Hmmm. Apparently in past decades it didn't matter quite as much what the child saw. This IS a rather disappointing view.
Oh, well. At least the tune is pleasant, if not the view.

Hi Judy, love your blog! I was just wondering if you know anything about the big doll in the pictures? I have the same doll that I got when I was 3 years old, (50 years ago!). Thanks.
