I thought Friday was never going to get here, and now there it goes.
Besides the usual Friday work, I moved stuff around in here.
I've got a lot of stuff. Too much, actually. But some days it's just fun to play - Let's shop from home!
So I did.
Filled up the new cabinet that replaces one we bought years ago that had been a built-in which meant it had a wonky end piece. This limited where it could be put. It is now in the basement.
I spent all day filling that cabinet.
And then THGGM came home and didn't like it. Which didn't bother me too much, as I didn't like it either. Except that I had spent an enormous amount of time on it.
Oh, well.
I do like this.
SERIOUSLY. My decorating skills are limited. I am very aware that my decorating style could be called 'antique mall booth'.
I just keep piling it in.
This post was supposed to contain a deep thought or two as there were some floating around up there today, but they have since sunk.

"Antique Mall Booth" style of decorating...I think there are a few others of us here who have been looking for a NAME for our style....and this may be it!
Do I count three cabinets in your pictures? (The "new" one & two on either side of the fireplace?)
And don't be alarmed about the grand thoughts "sinking". They'll surface soon.
I'm liking your vignette with the green books & white hands & admiring those white fowl (swan, I think).
Happy weekend!
I think I may have that style of decorating along with you. I have too much stuff but like you, I like to play house and having stuff makes that more fun. Pretty cabinets and love all the pretty dishes. I am a dishaholic~
I like the vignette too.
It's like "eye candy" to me. :0)
I think your home is decorated beautifully!
Call it "Antique Mall Booth" if you must...I think it's lovely! Your home looks like a warm, cozy and inviting 'soft place to land' at the end of the day! And I love the vignette!
Yes, that's it! Antique Mall Booth Decorating Style. I have that, too. :)
Love your green display!
Oh, and I also love that "thinking about junk" piece you won. Oh, my goodness--that is so perfect!
Keep up the good work. Your home always looks so warm and inviting. From one antique mall booth decorator to another.....Debra
Wow! Should you ever decide to purge and have a yard sale, let us know! Ha! Not that I need any more stuff myself, it's just that everyone else's stuff looks so interesting.
