Sleep Over Weekend

Today is Jonge's turn for HIS sleep over.

I just realized that I did not take one picture today. So, this one is from last week. I include it here because what we were talking about was his up-coming sleep over.

My hope is that it will meet his expectations.

Presently there are creations spread all through the house in various levels of done-ness.

We played two games that we had never tried before. They were both quite fun.

Then we watched an old episode of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, "Wind Storm in Bubbleland". I remember HATING that episode so much when my kids were little. Such annoying little songs and so much weirdness. Except when I watched it today it made perfect sense to me and I enjoyed it so much that we watched it again. The only down side is that now I have that "There's never any trouble here in Bubbleland Bubbleland Bubbleland" song running through my head.

Much time was spent standing around the computer watching the Decorah Eagles and their three growing babies. Since it is live one just never knows what might happen. It was terribly windy in their nest today.

Tonight we watched Toy Story 3. Jonge has seen it before but we have not. We shall be finishing that up in the morning, as Jonge got very sleepy. He didn't want to miss the ritual sleep over reading of "Goodnight Richard Rabbit".

Presently my right eye is closed. I think this means that I am half asleep.

I wonder if breathe-right nose strips placed from my eyelid to my forehead would help hold my eyes open? There is much reading I still would like to do tonight...

Asher brought a "new game" over the other day to play. Beth bought him Mousetrap. I didn't like that game when I was a child. I still don't. He played it with Pepa. I pray that Monopoly never finds its way to Mema's house. Now, Bonkers on the other hand...oh, and Beth was thinking about getting him Scrabble Jr. It's never to young to learn that one! Hope the sleep over was a blessed time.
