Question One: What did you do on your Memorial Day Weekend?
Friday was our 33rd wedding anniversary. We went to Arnie's Restaurant for shuffles and soup (we had a coupon!) and then thrift shopping. I was tired. We can party later, when I'm not. On Saturday morning we helped Oldest Son and DiL-1 move from a suburban townhouse to a quaint house in Mid-town Grand Rapids. They are going to love it there. I loved all the vintage-ness that an old home offers. It also has myrtle, climbing roses, peonies, lilac bushes, lilies of the valley, day lilies and a nice spot for a garden. Oh, and a Michigan cellar. Those are fun. In the afternoon THGGM and I had lunch at Hunan, our favorite Chinese restaurant. Strangely, I cannot remember the rest of the day. I do recall drifting off to sleep to the sounds of HG-TV. Sunday our plans were to travel south a bit to the antiques fair in Allegan. But, the weather looked if-y. We probably could have made it, but aren't sorry that we visited many of our favorite antique venues in Grand Rapids. All I came home with was a small red plaid Thermos. Sunday night I DO remember! Jonge, Famke, and Kado came to spend the night. We had Frosties from Wendy's, watched AFV, and read books. Well, Kado jumped. And spit. And jumped and spit. Everybody slept very soundly all night long. On Monday we took them to breakfast at Russ' and then to Michael's Craft Store to pick out something fun to do from the dollar bins. From there it just kept getting hotter. And hotter. And even HOTTER. So, there were bathing suits to put on and sprinklers to run through, and other fun stuff that I've already forgotten. Then Youngest Son and DiL-2 came to pick up the oldest two and brought them to a lake for pizza, boats, and fishing. Jonge caught his very first fish (bass) and it was the biggest catch of the day. While Kado napped something bit him on his leg. The boy has a NASTY itchy bite. Once everyone was back here, they finished their Frosties from the night before. I cannot remember much after that, except that it was fun.
Question Two: What are you going to do today?
I plan to make paper lampshades to put on wine glasses. Possibly a nap. Not that I PLAN to, I just sort of see it happening.
Question Three: Tomorrow is your birthday, do you have plans?
Judy? Judy? We seem to have lost Judy. Please tune in again later.

Happy Birthday, Judy. I can sort of see you sleeping right through it after that busy weekend!
Sounds delightful, except for the itchy bite. But now I'm wondering what a "shuffles" is or are?
Well, I am also wondering what shuffles are? Happy belated anniversary to you and happy birhtday to you. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was calm after very bad weather here on Wednesday evening and no power until Saturday around 5:00pm. I am still trying to catch up. I didn't sleep well during all that and I think that is playing a part in being behind. Oh well.....Hope your weather is cooler there. Ous is hot, hot also and much too early to be this hot!
Happy belated anniversary, birthday and what in the world are shuffles?
I like the lampshades in the photo.
Happy Birthday. We went to Allegan Sunday after church. It was amazingly quiet. We left just as the first thunder started rumbling.
