THGGM? He finds AMAZING things. Last week he found a very good brand name surround sound system for his TV for an UNBELIEVABLY low price, and he had a 20% off coupon. This has made him very excited. Me? Not so much. Now when he goes down into the basement I get to hear thump-Thump-THUMP through what used to be sound-proof floors.
THGGM also finds fabulous clothing deals at thrift stores. Sometimes at the junkiest one of all. This does not happen much for me. He has lost forty pounds since the first week of January so he has had to buy a new wardrobe. Truly, I am happy for him. Yet I still find myself wanting to punch him for how unfair it is that I am NOT losing at the same rate. It's been four months and it appears according to the scale that I have lost ten. Although it doesn't show - AT ALL.
I've been reading an old book on writing a memoir. It's one I bought a few years ago when I was buying green thrift books. So glad I did! The author was born in 1920 and I like his ideas so much more than what I've found in more recently written books on the subject. Soon I'll be actively collecting and organizing information. Hey, and you never know - YOU might be in it!
