Saving Bad Pictures

Sometimes, even when a picture LOOKS like it didn't turn out, there is captured in it a wonderful expression.

I mean, look at that lawn. And in the corner, a rake and shovels. And THGGM's legs and feet.
But when I cropped out everything but Famke's face.., well it may be blurry, but it is such a timeless expression.

I just may have to sketch it. Or something.

Cropping is a wonderful thing because photo ops can be fleeting, and we have to snap or will miss the moment.

I'm feeling SO philosophical here - thinking how life is a little like that, too! In the most ordinary (or less-than-perfect) experiences of life, there are nuggets of preciousness.

Sometimes we just have to zoom in and/or crop out everything else...but what emerges is definitely worth keeping!
