Waiting for the New Flower to Bloom

I'm such a fan of making stuff with things one has around the house that I am continually picking up new things to have around my house so I will always be ready!

Hmm. I suppose that isn't how it's supposed to go, but, oh well. I never said I had it all figured out. Although I do try. To figure it all out, that is.

Yesterday while Kado napped (that boy. such a GOOD napper.) Jonge and Famke worked on their Mother's Day gifts. Daughter was at her OBGYN. Just routine, so back at the ranch we knew we had to work quickly and diligently to be finished when she returned.

Then she called. New Baby's heart rate was low and she was being sent to the hospital for monitoring.

And suddenly, that little flower in the picture, the one with no cute little picture in the center, took on a whole new meaning. All I know of this one is that he is a boy, he wiggles a lot, and from his ultra sound profile he certainly does bare a striking resemblance to the rest of his family.

I am eager to meet him. But not so eager that he make his appearance sooner than expected. The end of June is just fine with me.

Daughter called back an hour later to say that all was well. Most likely it was her heart beat that her doctor was picking up, and not New Baby's as his was thumping along loud and strong.

And if you were worried, we DID get the gifts done in time to have them all put away and the mess cleaned up before Daughter came.

Those false alarms are scary, but it is good that they check it all out so closely.
Mom will love those cute little flower pot gifts.
