We both had the Scandinavian Shuffle and Canadian Cheese Soup. A shuffle is smoked turkey, Havarti cheese, cucumber dressing, lettuce and tomato wrapped in Scandinavian flat bread. We get the half sandwich, as a whole one is VERY large. I've gotten pretty good at making these at home. Instead of Scandinavian flat bread I use a large flour tortilla. I also add dill weed to my cucumber dressing. I highly recommend it.
For dessert we had the cupcakes as they come free with the meal. THGGM had the red velvet, I had the triple chocolate. I've not had a cupcake or any sort of cake in over five months, so I splurged for my birthday. It was woooonderful, but it was enough and if I don't have another until next year I'm okay with that.
After dinner we went to Barnes and Noble. The new magazines were not out yet. I hate when that happens. So, I read a few old ones.
Last year on my birthday we were in Traverse City. So in the evening I went through the last five years or so of this blog and just enjoyed those memories. But the memories of this birthday will be just as good.

Belated happy birthday - and YUM! Do you make your cucumber dressing from scratch? If so, could I have your recipe.
I think I'll try a shuffle soon.
Happy birthday! The shuffle really does look good. As does the cupcake.:-)
