I Think I Might Be Tired Or Something

THGGM is on vacation this week. So, today we took Jonge, Famke, and Kado to the zoo for the morning.

Actually, I should say that THGGM took the kids to the zoo, I took my new camera!

Yes! I have a new camera that my family all went in on for my birthday, which we celebrated yesterday.

See that chimp waaaay off in the distance? The next picture is the same chimp, but with my new camera's zoom lens.

I still have about 150 pictures to go through - some better than others. I have a lot to learn.

We came home, had a picnic lunch in the backyard and then THGGM took Jonge and Famke to the local Splash Pad.

Kado and I watched Caillou and then strolled through the yard smelling the peonies.

And our first day of vacation draws to a close.

Have I said, "Happy Birthday"?

You crack me up! "THGGM took the kids to the zoo, I took my new camera!"

Happy WITH you for your camera.

I poke along with my 3 point something cell phone camera. Not complaining. It's really best for me. I never DID get the hang of having my camera with me when I needed it most.

Thanks for sharing your day at the zoo with us. You always take such great pictures no matter which camera you use, but glad you received a new one as a gift. :)
