Just Because

I really truly like dandelions.

They are pretty, don't cost a thing (unless, of course, you do NOT like them), and they require nothing from you.

Yet, they keep on giving and giving and giving.

What's not to like?

Me too. I don't understand why some people seem to think the dandylion-less lawn is a battle they need to fight.

I also love the white clover that blooming in my lawn right now. It likes my sandy soil and doesn't require fertilizer. I even bought some clover seed at the garden store for my bare spots.

And is there anything more precious than a boquet of dandelions from a child, thinking they've just given the best gift of all? Or the image of the blowing the delicate puffs and making a wish? Love it. Wonderful pic!

(Oh, and I love the precious pansy in your header now, too.)

my grandma used to fry dandelions with eggs!
we do get rid of ours though I hate it that we use chemicals on our lawn and it keeps me from doing a garden. sad.

I like dandelions too, since people pay my husband to get rid of them! LOL!

@Jacquelyn if your lawn is being treated, from what I understand there isn't a reason to not have a garden. You just dig up a section of your yard and not have that area treated since it is for flowers or whatever. Maybe I am a little confused?

Deep roots, ha! But priceless when they show up in bouquets from the grandboys! :-)
