Don's Drive-In

This is where we stopped for lunch after leaving Elk Rapids, hitting just one more antique mall along the way back to Traverse City.
Don's Drive-In has been around since we have. 1958. This means they 'know things'.

Like how to keep THGGM coming back. We always get the same thing, so I really cannot tell you about their menu. Drive-In food. You really can sit outside in your car and they will bring it to you. Nobody was doing that the day we were there, as it was too hot.

Lovely views of the east bay out the windows.

I always get the grilled ham and cheese on rye. Mmm.

THGGM always gets the chili dog.

Usually he would get a chocolate shake, but since he has lost 30 pounds he's saying "No" to many things like that.

He didn't even buy fudge this year.

The kids meals come in this adorable cardboard Fairlane.

Big people like us have to put up with plates.

So we splurged and bought one for $1.49.Should have bought two, so we wouldn't have to fight over it.

OM...Gosh ...a Chevy BelAire !!!
How neat is that to still have a drive-in place to eat still around after all those years.
That was my era ....to have babies. :0)
Guess that would be considered FUN too.
