Monday Night Sunset at the Beach

This was the scene when we arrived at the beach Monday night.

The streaks of light in the sky were amazing.

So we got comfortable and settled in.

Here we have THGGM doing some beach yodeling. He does this quite often.

Or maybe he is just yawning. The two look the same.

Isn't this beautiful?

It is the west bay of Grand Traverse Bay.

THGGM asked if I had ever actually seen the sunset besides through a camera lens.

Yes. Yes I have. Just not recently.

So many colors.

So little time.

Last year we stayed on the east bay. The year before that it rained almost every day.

Even though I know that the sun sets EVERY day, I am thankful when there are several days in a row that I get to SEE it happen.

And tonight's was truly view worthy!
