Sunday Afternoon

One of the reasons I shamelessly travel to the same place every year is because it only takes us two and half hours to arrive. Another reason is that it's just plain beautiful!

Our very first stop was an antique mall. A non airconditioned antique mall. But I did find a lovely Dutch couple made in occupied Japan, so it was worth the sweat. After that it was time to check into our room.

Oh, boy. MAYBE I'll tell you about that, but probably not.

Let's look at the cherries, shall we?

In the late afternoon we drove up the mission pennisula. This just may be the most beautiful place on earth.

The cherry trees were GORGEOUS.

Our favorite beach is near the tip of the pennisula. It's such a great spot and there is rarely ever anyone there but us. This was on a HOT day in July. Where could they have been?

Oh, well. We enjoyed it!

I have this weed growing in my yard. There is no good reason for me to have taken a picture of it. But I did anyway.

These vines were all over the beach. Such tiny yellow flowers. LOVE the red vines.

A close up.

This year I did not bring any rocks home. Just two shells.

Good-bye beach. See you next year.

Beautiful vineyards as far as the eye can see.

(sigh...)
