After over eight hours glued to TV news reports, I think I shall go to bed. The murder rampage/hostage situation in Grand Rapids is over. Thank God.
I'm still rather dazed about how close it came to so many people that I know.
Grand Rapids is such a great city.
I feel so badly for the families of the victims. What a tragedy.

Oh, my word! Am I out of touch with the news the past couple of weeks or what?! I don't have a clue what happened in GR. I'm off to check news headlines. Outside of weather reports on the local news a few times in the morning these past two weeks while DH has been gone, I haven't watched a lick of news. And it's been WONDERFUL in some ways to be so uninformed. But not when something so horrible happens so close to home. Brings to mind when we had that murder in our neighborhood in Portland a few years back. Do you know, it probably would've been unsolved forever until the murderer, who'd fled home to Mexico, confessed to his mom because his conscience was so burdened. She told him he needed to confess...and he did.
I too am out of touch with news and more.
Had to refer to the computer just now.
So Sad!!!
Last I knew it was still a hostage sit...I can't imagine something like that in Grand Rapids. :(
Oh Judy, I told you a while back about a shooting in our country, but so close to where you live! It is awfull and I wish everybody involved as a victim of some kind the chance to recover somehow from this ordeal. Glad nobody close to you was trapped though. I was off yesterday to wave at our son at the airport taking off for four weeks America, business and a friends marriage, so an empty nest for a while, got sunburned twice in a row, well, I am a slightly redheaded I mean redhaired.
