Shower Decor

The shower seemed to me to have been a success!

All of my decor comes from thrift/antique stores or the 50% off or more shelves.

I had a great time Saturday searching for baby stuff around my house and piling it all up to make something of it.

That's what I do when I should be cleaning.

 Believe it or not, I had to scale back or there would not have been room for all of the food.

I know it shouldn't be this way, but I am more into arranging the decor on the table than I am the food.

A few years ago I found this mobile at a thrift store.

I had to tweaked it just a bit to fit into/around this vase.

And, I wanted something fresh and alive so I sent THGGM out to buy flowers.  I was thinking inexpensive - but he came back with a dozen pink roses.  They were 50% off.

I have a nice collection of antique baby bottles, so I put them to good use.

My plan was to put them on the table, but then I would have had to put the food on the mantle and the piano.

 I love putting flowers in front of a mirror!  Doubles the flowers with no expense.

We all pitched in with food, and it was WONDERFUL, as always.  Have I ever mentioned how nice it is to just say "bring the usual" and it always works and I do not even have to THINK about a menu?

But I forgot to take a picture of the table overflowing with food.  Except for the cake which one of my sisters brought.  Isn't it adorable?

I hope the rest of the family has as much fun when we get together as I do.
