A Beautiful Spring Saturday

Saturday was a  gorgeous spring day.

THGGM and I had four of the grand kids all day while their parents went to a Detroit Tiger's baseball game.

Hertsje came to visit for a while too.

We made packing tape bracelets.  if you've never done this I highly recommend it.  Just put a strip of packing tape around your wrist with the sticky side out.  Then simply pick pretty flowers, blades of grass, bits of 'what have you' and stick it on!

Jonge had a grand time putting flowers in the girls hair.

Sadly, they both had allergic reactions to them.  So now we know not to do that again!

Ah, poor girls! Was it the pollen? I love Famke's shirt, so cute! It was overcast and a little cool here on Saturday and it rained today and is just damp and cool. Sunshine for the next two days...the lawnmower will be calling my name after work tomorrow.
Hope you have a great week!

In our country (bulbfields!) it is not even widespread known that narcissus and daffodils can cause allergic reactions. On the other hand, I am allergic to glue, even surgical band-aid caused a huge blister, as did the glue between the leather from brand new shoes, ouch. Well, both glue and norcissi can be avoided. It is the sticky sap that causes the irritation. Nice pictures again and how they grow. Tomorrow our queen is abdicating and her son Willem-Alexander will be our new king. I then have lived under four kings (that is the official title, even when they are women!) Wilhelmina, Juliana, Beatrix and now W-A. I am sure a president costs if all is totalled the same as a king, both have guards, visit foreign lands, visit mills, but a king stays for much longer then a president! MA

That is so sad - I love the picture of him so carefully placing it behind her ear!!
