On Monday We Made Things!

First up on Monday, we played with Duplo Legos.

Next we went outside and made a tent city.  Zeke brought out his own blanket!
No "real" sleeping happened.  I assure you.
Well, maybe Zeke slept a very little bit.

After almost the entire day outside, we came in to make things out of Tinkertoys.

Swings for the little dolls were a hit.

It was great fun.

So much fun that I am still tired.

When I was very little, in bad weather times my mother had to dry bedlinen indoors in our living/dining/kitchen/bedsteadroom. We were living in a small cottage with only one room, one bedroom and two bedsteads (bedsteden, google). The linen went on a "linnenrek" google please and made fabulous tents. I remember playing in the tent, with my own childrens teaset and dolls and our cat. Those were lovely times, after use the linnenrek was hung on an outside wall on big hooks, I was not allowed to hang on or climb the linnenrek, no fun there, the chance of the rek falling on me was very real. The linnenrek was also used in springcleaning, all the blankets and pillows were aired on it (it was amusing to see little birds picking at the wool and lifting off with some wooly bits, my mother was NOT amused. Linnenrekken were also used in Fryslân, Judy. DM
