Kneeling in Bethlehem

In the past I used this book to lead me through the Advent season.  But I did not own it.  At the end of November I was lamenting how much I miss this book.  Missing how much the writings of Ann Weems prepared my heart for Christmas.
Then, on the Saturday before the first Sunday of Advent I was in the only thrift store I ever go to anymore.  They had an advertised special on books, buy one get one free.  I don't look at books much anymore, after having gotten rid of hundreds of them last year.  But I did walk into the book corner just to take a peek.  And, there on the shelf facing outward on a little book stand was Kneeling in Bethlehem.
I confess that I squealed just a little bit.  Even THGGM who is working tirelessly with me to reign in my hoarding tendencies allowed me to get it. And so with that, let the miracles of the Christmas season begin!
