A Day (or two) to Celebrate!

Saturday THGGM and I went to Graduation at Western Michigan University to witness our Daughter-in-law 1 receive her doctorate.

It was truly a lovely ceremony.
We could not be more proud.  She is a wonderful woman, daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, aunt, and friend.

I cannot even begin to imagine what goes in to earning a doctorate.  She is smart, and she knows things.  But mostly, she worked HARD as I am sure only some else with this much education would understand.

And now she has earned her Dr. of Philosophy, English!
Her mom and dad flew in from Southern California.  Of course they did.  Their daughter is now a DOCTOR!
We drove all the way from Grand Rapids.  Of course we did.  Our son is married to a DOCTOR.

And there she is, sporting the hood!

Did I say we could not be more proud?

We could not be more proud!

Love you Dr. Christine Haskill!

congratulations to your new family doctor, of course you are all proud. May I say DIL 1 looks like her mum like son 1 looks like his dad? They seem to be cut from the same fabric, it is so obvious! DM
