Blooming Peonies

I wasn't holding out too much hope for these after the winter we had.  And they weren't looking good in the early spring either.  But LOOK!  Aren't they lovely?

My peonies are about to start blooming, please, no rain for a few days or wind or they will be destroyed. I always cut them back after blooming and then in autumn at about 10 inches above groundlevel every other year, they bloom better that way and the bushes do not overgrow my tiny gardenspace. DM

I think Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. I had one in a bud vase once that hadn't bloomed yet. When it did it was almost as big as my head and lasted for almost 2 weeks.
