Independence Day Weekend

 Yesterday we hosted our Annual Independence Day Breakfast.  The menu rarely changes.  Two kinds of quiches, blueberry French toast, sausage, fresh fruit, and juices.

 And I think we have finally figured out the best configuration for outdoor dining.  It only took us SEVEN years.

But then a terrible thing happened.  Some weird blue spots started showing up in my pictures.  So, I put it away and tried not to think about it until after everyone headed their separate ways to enjoy the rest of their holiday.

I do believe that in the afternoon I ruined my macro lens when I tried to get rid of the cause of the blue spots.

And now I am going to go try to enjoy the rest of my holiday weekend.

See the blue spots?  :Ugh.

In the evening, after grilled brats in the backyard, THGGM and I watched "Empire of the Sun".  The neighborhood fireworks worked well as special effects.
