Welcome to Anybody Home!
Here you will find scattered pictures from my point and shoot camera, random thoughts from my little world, treasured memories of days gone by, hopeful dreams of the days yet to come, and a bunch of ideas - because I've always got ideas!

My father (and many neighbours) used to say: roege zwienen gedijen op zien best, meaning: pigs laying rough i.e. in the mud grow best. I dare not say your grandchildren are pigs, by far they are not, but a child that is not allowed to play in the mud sometimes does never pick up any germs and so does not safely grow anti-germ-things, to protect it from really big germ attacks. The kids have fun, the washing machine does the works and all the germs are for free, grin! To me, playing in and with mud, making bridges and waterfalls in nearly waterempty ditches was part of growing up. It also taught me very important lessons: clear water only makes you wet, mud makes you dirty too, mud sucks on bare toes, water does not, a little wate can make a whole lot of mud or when there is too much sand, the mud will not runwhen there is a strong current in the ditch, your bridges will not hold etc. Seems unimportant? Well, it helped me understand why the dough in the bowl acted strange (two spoonfulls of milk instead of the required 20!), keep on allowing your grandchildren to learn lives lessons the playfull way.
