Remembering Friday of Vacation

THGGM, doing the Friday morning after breakfast washing-up.
The lake was still and gorgeous Friday morning.

Lots of people out on the water.

As far as one could see, the water looked striped.

THGGM is already on the beach reading.

I'm still in shock over all that beach, considering just a few short days ago there was none!

This looks so easy, but then a Ski-do or some sort of motorized water craft would go past and it no longer looked like fun to me!
So much to look at.

Really.
Almost finished with my book!

Still in jeans and a hoodie though.
I absolutely love my little quiet corner of the room.

Wasn't quiet at all when THGGM was snoring away.

He was banished to the main room downstairs, so everyone else could sleep.

Apparently, I don't notice it much anymore.
The stairway.

Every year one of us, either me or THGGM misses a step at the bottom.

This year it wasn't me.
Son-in-law and Famke on the beach.

He is annoying her with a long piece of beach grass.

Love my zoom lens.

And there were bugs.

Warmed up quite nicely for beach play in the afternoon.

Time for some digging.
Has everyone noticed that I am much more of an observer than a participant?

I'm convinced that I am having just as much, if not MORE fun than all of these happy participants just by WATCHING them enjoying themselves.
Oldest Son and his nephew Broeder happily digging away!
I DO go down to the beach, SEE?!

This is looking north.

Such a gorgeous day!

I did laugh when one of the kids asked if I could "run up" and get something for them.

Um.., no.
Every crew needs a supervisor.

THGGM is perfect for that role.

He is super and is also wearing a visor!
They might night realize it yet, but they are living the best days of their lives!
Well would you look at that.

It's those two again!
Looks like Jonge caught a sister!
This is our last sunset of the week.

There were a few very clear nights when the night sky was filled with stars.

I tried to get pictures of that, but it doesn't look like much with a point and shoot camera.

And from the bedroom window, I could see the little dipper.

The big dipper was visible from the deck, and looked to be hung right over our beach.
So much beauty, always there.

All you have to do is look for it.
