Here Comes Summer!

Yesterday was the perfect weather for a back yard birthday party!

Sunny and in the upper sixties, just how I like it.

Although I still do remain in the shade.

And it was cooler in the shade.

Those younger than 12 were brave enough to go into the pool.

Jumping in fast to get it over with quickly seemed to work the best.

I remember when I had to sit on a very tall chair just to see the tops of their heads in the pool.

Not so any more!

There was ice cream.

And cake.

And presents.

And a birthday balloon!

Daughter, enjoying a day without baseball.

She also enjoys all the days WITH baseball too.

Famke begins high school in the fall! 

There was also a lot of baseball, but of the 'this is a small yard' type.

Oh, and since it was a PARTY there were also fudge bars, ice cream sandwiches, and freeze pops! 

Broeder puts his unique spin on all that he does.

He did say that this was the best party EVER, and that AFTER he attended a birthday party for a friend at a trampoline venue the day before.

(We had a pool AND cousins!)

By the sounds of it, this was the most fun game for these three.

They grow up so fast.

It's weird how it all happens at the same rate for everyone.
