1 - His boyish good looks

4 - His way of saying "HEY!!!!" when he has an idea
5 - His optimistic outlook (although, sometimes i don't get it)
6 - His bravery when faced with unwelcome wildlife in the house (mice, possums, bats)

How is that Jane Smiley book? I own it, but I haven't read it yet.
I've been reading it now for a year. After every major change in the story, I have to quit for awhile.
I wish it came highlit with the main story points.
Although I have enjoyed the history in it very much.
