Post Number 1001

Huh? Could this actually be the 1001 post I have written on Anybody Home? Of course, some of them are drafts - and if you count my other four blogs I'm WAY over 1oo0 with those.
So, you would think that I'd have something profound to say. But, I've got nothing.
I finished reading the Gladys Taber book "Harvest of Yesterdays". Reading it helped me to understand her other books. There truly is nothing like a back story to shine light on the foggy parts of the past.
I'm waiting on two orders of books, one from Amazon and one from eBay. I get SO excited waiting for packages.
In other news, this will hopefully be my dad's last week being homebound due to his broken leg. THGGM has Monday off and will take him to the doctor. The initial plan is that if it isn't completely healed, he will get a walking cast, which would help him out tremendously. I think it is going to be hard for my mom to get back into a routine. Baby Boy has missed their Thursday visits, as have I.
It will also become a BUSY time, as all of those postponed appointments will have to be made up. I just might finish that Maria Montessori book yet. You know, that paperback I keep in my purse just for 'waiting room' occasions.
I am making appointments for myself also. For blood work. I should not be this tired, I should not be losing my hair at such an alarming rate, and I should be able to maintain my blood sugar levels - but I cannot. Stress and hormones I cannot control.
Speaking of blood work...embroidery is proving to be the perfect craft for me! I stab myself so stinking many times that I am given many chances to test my blood sugar. And don't fall for those lame advertisements. It HURTS to stab oneself ON PURPOSE with a lancet.
Well, I'm off to find a NEW book to read. I happen to know already that it will be something deep - like Mutts, Zits or Calvin and Hobbes.
Happy 1001 Posts to Me!

Happy blog-aversary to you!
Stress and hormones, or lack thereof (hormones, not stress) will do many unwelcome things to you. Been there done that. Still have the stress, but the hormones... just a memory!:)
Take care of yourself - baby boy and baby to come count on you!

Thank you Elizabeth! Wow. We HAVE been internet friends for quite some time now! I keep that picture you sent to me of you and your granddaughter to keep you 'real' to me!

Thank you Pat! I'm enjoying getting to know you! I have a feeling that my hormones are fastly fleeing and are taking much of my memory with them. Not fun at all.
