Guess What?

We bought a house!

It's the one we put the bid on.

It's quaint and vintage-y in all the right places.

Even the Pepto-abysmal main bathroom.

Being the kind of person I am, I am always looking for 'signs'.

It has the EXACT yellow/gold floor in the kitchen as this house does.

Yellow/gold flooring has a habit of following me around.

This house was built in the early 50's, so it will be the 'newest' home I have ever lived in.

I know that I am weird, that is an established fact. But, my most favorite thing about this house is the TWO rooms in the basement that have the possibility of being FABULOUS work space for all my creative endeavors. THGGM will not need them, as the two stall garage is heated. And, since we only have one car, he can have all that other room for himself.

So, if everything works out, we will close on June 29. Then, the present owners have thirty days. My best guess is that sometime near the end of July we will be moving.

Oh, and just to keep things interesting, Daughter and Son-in-law had their bid excepted on a house the very same day as we did.

New Baby is due to arrive on August 13.

Well. I'm off to pack up the extremely large linen closet we have here. Thankfully, THGGM cleaned it out last fall, so I need only lift things into boxes.

Boxes...

I will need a lot of boxes...
