THGGM had a wonderful time today.
He dragged out a bunch of stuff from the garage to the front yard in a sort of 'pre-moving' yard sale.
His ultimate plan is to move everything we want to keep to the 'new' house, and then sell everything we don't want to keep in one big sale after this tumultuous time in our life is all over.
Yesterday he had another idea. THGGM is a spontaneous guy, and he spontaneously decided that all he wanted to do today was sit on his porch swing. So, he thought he would try to make a little bit of money while doing that.
By the time I got up this morning, he had creatively displayed vignettes all around the yard and in the driveway.
So, for eight hours of swinging on his porch swing on a warm Saturday in June, the man made $320.00.
Anyway, I could not resist posting this picture. Isn't that the cutest oval picture you have ever seen? I call it - "Plaid Shorts with a Side of Pine Tree".
(actually, it's a mirror - but you knew that...)
UPDATE: as of 6:00 tonight, THGGM sold $40 more with the promise of $65 on Monday

Oh, this is killing me, I tell you...KILLING ME!!!! Not being able to go to THGGY's yard sale. I want that chair...and that mirror! Is that some kind of a chest/bureau in the background? I want THAT too! And to think you're going to have a super-duper colossal sale when you move?! Arghhh...I'm dying here out in Portland!!!! Hey, I know what! I'll come visit, buy up all the 'stuff' you're hemming and hawing about getting rid of...then you can come and visit me any time you get lonely for it! Deal??
I hope you got at least a couple bucks for that darling oval picture!!!
$320.00! Wow. And he made it sound so easy.
I cannot begin to tell you how AMAZED I was with how much he made!
Some Saturday's our neighborhood is hopping with people. This was NOT one of those weekends.
