They are just being gracious to their old mom.

My eyes aren't good, and my camera isn't on the correct setting, but this IS actually how they look to me.

Beautiful in a fuzzy, out of focus sort of way.

I have a picture of Youngest Son as a little boy with that very same expression on his face.
