Flames. There were flames.No one was injured, nothing but the towel was harmed.
Daughter entered the kitchen in time to see flames.
What shall we call this? THGGM has a 'senior moment'?
I believe it is obvious from the picture that someone laid a wadded up towel on a still hot burner.
Please do note that, ah hem, the proper day of the week towel was being used.

I know I should be really grateful that just as you've settled into the house you didn't go and burn it down..... and I am.... but...... Sure is a shame about that pretty towel!!
I know. I know.
I guess this means I will no longer have to cook on Wednesdays.
Possibly, I will have to substitute my Wednesday underpants.
