Really, I did. I was beginning to think that I had totally lost my ability to do anything creative, but today it all came back to me.
Not that what I created was so great, but, I had fun with it.
And, people will get gifts. The kind they expect from me. Dorky homemade stuff.
Oh. The picture is just my calendar. It's to my right as I sit at the computer. That's my pantry door. If my desk chair had wheels, I would eat more. But, since I have been dreadfully tired lately, it's unlikely that I would get up to grab something from the pantry.
Anyway...back to what I made today...
Can't tell you. They are Christmas gifts for family who may or may not read my blog.
Today I had planned to go to doctor's appointments with Daughter. Jonge and Famke both were scheduled to go. But, since they are healthy and strong and the weather was horrid this morning, Daughter canceled them.
I stayed home. Alone. Did laundry. Cleaned up a bit. And made stuff.
NOW it feels Christmasy over hear. It's the making of stuff, even dorky dumb stuff that makes it feel that way for me.
Tomorrow, I go to a doctor's appointment with my dad.
Did I mention that I am tired all the time? Yes. I believe I did.
BUT I MADE STUFF!!!

I remember making stuff...it never looked like it was supposed to and I always ended up way too frustrated. At older dau's wedding, the younger asked who got all the creative genes in our family (recognizing that noone she knew had them)...to which I replied God just blessed in other ways...
I'm glad your creative mojo is back!!!!!
can I just say.... I LOVE YOU!!!!
Esp that line about eating more if your chair had wheels. Oh, that was beautiful.
