On the Day After Christmas...

My dad and I spent the afternoon with my mom at the nursing home.
We had a few presents to bring to her.
Dad spent the afternoon with her yesterday and he says they had a very nice time together.

Today she was getting a lot of physical therapy. When we arrived she was walking the halls with her therapist, and doing very well.
Next it was on to 'the bike'. We are allowed to visit with her during therapy.

All that activity wore her out!
On the drive home dad commented on how nice it is to see her calm. She has a contented look about her.
It's also nice to see my dad look 'rested up'.
Tuesday will be their 60th wedding anniversary.
My dad was in the hospital for their 55th.
All my mom ever wanted was to have a 50th anniversary party, which we happily gave them nearly ten years ago. Her dad didn't make it to his 50th anniversary, and my mom always told me that her mother felt so sad about that.
Wow. They've almost made it to 60. One just never knows!
