As mentioned below, I am feeling my age today, to put it mildly.
Anyway.
Being a firm believer that there are some things a young boy of two should NEVER witness his grandmother doing he had a bit of free time today.
At one point, I heard the back door open. I called to him, and he did come quickly to me, with some explanation which I totally didn't understand. Mostly, I did not even try to understand, as we are working on the simple fact that he MAY NOT OPEN THE DOOR.
Well, several hours passed and his mommy came. As I was opening the door to let her in, I noticed that sitting with THGGM's boots and my shoes on our muddy back porch were Famke's new little baby shoes.
In an effort to be neat and tidy, he had picked up her shoes. carried them to the back porch and set them next to ours.
What a boy, that Jonge.

We recently installed a chain lock up high on our front door because Dylan's figured out how to open all the doors except for the back door in our house. I'm not too concerned about the inside doors but the front door scares me half to death. The chain is up high enough he won't be able to reach it til he's...oh...10 maybe, ha! But it's sure eased my fears. A great $3 investment as far as peace of mind goes!
Oh that brought tears to my eyes. What a sweet boy. I just love that pic.
Now that is just the cutest picture ever!!
I don't know if you've ever said it exactly, but I've always understood that you are the main care provider during the day. Against much advice, we'll be going down that road in a few months. Any thoughts, advise? You can email if you like.
Oh, this is just the sweetest picture. It brought tears to my eyes, too.
