My Niki

For sixteen years I was the happy owner of a Westie.
That hasn't caused me to go overboard collecting Westie stuff.
Although, I do have a few pieces that are cherished gifts.

But when I saw this tea set in the Gooseberry Patch clearance catalog I jumped at the chance to own it for half price.
And, yes, I do let my grandchildren play with it.
After all, they break things much less frequently than I do.
I was reminded of this as just a moment ago I broke the plaster frame of the thrifted picture I had just posted on my Simply Thrift blog (www.simplythrift.blogspot.com).
Glue is my friend.
And, I DO miss my Niki. If we can find a way to fence in our backyard, I do see another dog in my future. Maybe.

Cute tea set, and of course you let the grandchildren play with it. Why have it otherwise. Mine have played with a breakable tea set ( boys as much as girls) for years now and it is still intact.
We recently fenced an area of a seemingly unfencable yard, got a dog and are loving having that fun back in our lives.
