This book came today. Since it's arrival I've been perusing the pages. LOVE the art of Tasha Tudor. LOVE it.
Today I've been pondering why it takes me so long to accomplish things. I'm sure it is because I don't have any HUGE project underway, just hundreds of small ones. Those hundreds of small projects jumbled together take a looong time.
Anyway..,
Poor little Famke had an accident today (at her house). She fell off a swivel desk chair and injured her chin and cheek on the pointed corner of a desk. It pains me to know of a child in any kind of pain.
I've had to turn off the news with the graphic pictures coming out of Haiti. I can pray without ceasing without seeing.
Famke enjoyed getting many 'princess' themed Christmas gifts. Her great aunt and uncle gave her a set of several princess shoes. She adores them. And the shoes. Her preferred method of playing with her new footwear is to wear them with only a diaper. Her name for herself? Princess Nakeders.
Another gift was a princess watch from her mommy and daddy. Although, she does not call it a watch. She calls it her Nine O'clock.
There was more I wanted to write here.
But, I just cannot.
ALL injured two year olds need a mommy's arms around them tonight. Sadly, many will not have that. It's just all soooo sad.

The church organization I belong to has long been establishing 'branch' churches as we call them all thru the Caribbean, Haiti being one of the most receptive which is surprising considering how deeply immersed it is in voodoo. We can contribute to our church and rest assured every penny we donate goes to the aid of those poor souls...and the aid is for EVERYONE. I know what you mean about praying without ceasing without seeing. I can't even begin to imagine the suffering. I am so glad to hear you're finally feeling better!!!!
