Pake and Beppe, the early years...

It's not so easy to find these little Dutch pictures anymore.
But, yesterday I came across this one at "Somewhere In Thyme". There were two different pictures, but I already had the other one.
I do actually gasp audibly when I find the things that I like. I really do. It's embarrassing.
This caused me to gasp!
When I first started buying them, not all that long ago, most of them were a dollar. I was so happy to find one again that I willingly paid six dollars for it.
Like I'm always telling that big ol' Dutch guy I married, I'm a cheap date!
Oh. And after shopping? We went to Arnie's for the buy one get one free steak burger.
I'm thinking that I probably cost him in other ways...
I'm not going to ask.

We'd have so much fun shopping together. I gasp all the time. Earlier this summer, I found a Jewel Tea Autumn Leaf patterned plate. It wasn't priced. I walked over to the gal collected money and casually asked how much. She made a face and said, "A quarter." It took every bit of restraint not to whoop and hollar. I calmly handed her a quarter and ran/walked rapidly out of the garage and over to my daughter and in that excited high pitch voice that they hate shared my joy over my superfantastic buy!
