Vacation Day!

Today THGGM had a vacation day.
And, it just so happened that Daughter needed a baby-sitter today.
So, we took Jonge, Famke, and Kado to the zoo!
That family pass that we got Kado for his birthday is being put to use!
It is sooo nice not to have to rush in and attempt to see everything before someone 'nap crashes' (i'm thinking of someone around the age of say, 52).

This time we made sure to see different things than last week.
Jonge got to pet the stingrays. We saw the penguins and went into the aquarium. My inside pictures didn't come out very well. Kado was absolutely THRILLED to be let out of his stroller to walk around.

Oh. And the flowers were very beautiful.

This joey was trying to climb back into his mommy's pouch. He did eventually manage to do it. It was quite entertaining to watch.

I noticed this goat heading toward THGGM and was just going to let him. But, Jonge noticed and called to Pake to watch out.
I thought it would have been pretty funny.

The birds were even hungrier this time, and more than willing to stand on the stick.

Although I would have to say that they still took feeding the birds very seriously.

The most smiles came from sitting on a saddle on a barrel.
Seriously.

And what is it about children sucking on straws? Soooo cute!

At twelve months, Kado hardly seems like a baby anymore. Just hand him food, and he bites right into it. Of course, he still prefers NOT to hold his own bottle. I think that is particularly funny. And so is his face in this picture.

On our way out we stopped to see Nessy in the pond.
There were many things we THOUGHT we would do on our way out, like take pictures on the statue of John Ball and paddle around the pond in the swan paddle boats.
But we forgot we are old.

Aww. He looks like somebody just told him what chicken nuggets are made of.
