Today I took a HOT afternoon walk through my yard. Earlier, while adjusting shades inside I noticed that the hydrangeas on the north side of the house were looking very bloom-y. So I went out with scissors, but could not cut them, yet. Then I noticed three that were beginning to fall over and I rescued those with my scissors..JPG)
On the west side I saw that not only are the purple balloon flowers still looking well, the black-eyed susans seem to be holding their own. I plucked a few of those too.
I am not a gardener nor a flower arranger, but I do like to gather up random bottles and jars to fill with color.
There is nothing special about any of these things, but I like them. They make me happy. Well, except for the slug that fell out of one of the hydrangeas and landed on my hand, that did not make me happy. But everything else did.

Beautiful flowers! And arranged just as they should be, all natural and just as they are. Slugs -- ugh!
Purple balloon flowers are good; my pink ones are not -- tall, gangly and flopping all over.
So pretty. I hate to cut mine, but when I do, they too make me so happy to see them in the house.
So pretty. Especially love your new header picture. Wow.
